How To Make Granny Cake?

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Stir together the dry ingredients.
  3. Prepare the cake batter. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, crushed pineapple with juice, and vanilla extract. When done, slowly stir in the dry ingredients in a few additions.
  4. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the batter. Set aside.
  5. Prepare the topping. In a medium bowl, stir together light brown sugar and chopped pecans. Evenly sprinkle this mixture over the granny cake batter.

  7. Prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, stir together evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  8. Poke holes all over the granny cake using a skewer. Then, evenly pour the glaze over the cake. Let it cool completely. Then, place in the refrigerator or slice and serve immediately!
