Step 1 Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and stir until well mixed.
Step 2 In a second bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir together. In a third bowl, crack the egg, add milk, and oil and stir until combines. Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture until everything is combined. Do not over stir
Step 3 Fill the loaf pan halfway with the mixture. Slowly sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture into the pan. Leave half the cinnamon sugar for later. Pour in remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon sugar. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon sugar in the cake batter.
Step 4 Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes. The bread is cooked when a toothpick placed into the centre of the loaf comes out clean. Allow the pan to rest for 10-15 minutes Move the pan to a wire rack and allow the bread to finishing cooking to room temperature. Once the bread has cooled, wrap it in tin foil. Allow the loaf to rest overnight. In the morning, slice and enjoy your bread!
