  • 1 unsliced round loaf sourdough bread 1 pound
  • 1 lb Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 c butter melted
  • 1/2 c chopped green onions
  • 2 to 3 tsps poppy seeds

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, you’ll want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Arrange your two racks into even thirds inside your oven.
  • You’ll wash the potatoes next. Use cold water and a stiff brush to do so. When this is complete, poke holes into your potatoes, about 12 holes, using a fork. This will allow the moisture to leave during the cooking.
  • Put the potatoes in a large bowl or plate and coat them in the oil and kosher salt.
  • You’ll then transfer them to the middle of the oven on the top rack directly. Place a baking sheet underneath to catch any pieces or drippings that may fall through.
  • Leave the potatoes in the oven to bake for an hour. Or bake them until the skins are crisp and the insides are soft.
