Once you have all of your ingredients, you can start to make your fried ice cream dessert bars. Melt your butter in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. When the butter is melted, add cornflakes and cinnamon, cook and stir the mixture for about 5 minutes, and then remove from heat.
Off the heat, add in the sugar, and leave to cool completely. In a separate bowl, beat together evaporated milk and salt until it begins to thicken. Then beat in the condensed milk and vanilla until it thickens again.
Sprinkle the cornflakes into the bottom of a greased 9-inch baking pan. Pour your cool filling over the crust and sprinkle some more cornflakes on the top of the filling. Cover your dish and freeze overnight.
