Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup grapeseed oil
  • 3/4 cup dutch process cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup natural cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  • You’ll want to start by preheating the oven to 325F. Then, it’s time to prep a 9”x9” baking pan. Spray a little cooking oil in the pan so parchment paper sticks. Then spray the parchment paper with cooking oil.
  • Grab a large mixing bowl and whisk together the two cocoa varieties. Heat oil to 240F over medium heat, then pour over cocoa and mix well. Allow sitting for 10 minutes.
  • Next, add the salt, baking powder, and egg whites. You’ll want to mix with an electric mixer until there are large chunks. Finally, add the white sugar and vanilla. Keep mixing until the batter is smooth and has a shine to it.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and smooth using a spatula. Sprinkle hazelnuts on top.
  • Cook for about 30 minutes in the oven until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • These brownies will need to cool before you can eat cut and eat them.
