Add your yeast to warm water so it can bloom.
Mix in all ingredients into the warm water except for 2 cups of flour. After these ingredients are combined, add in the last section of flour. Use a spatula to scrape the dough off the sides of the bowl. Then, cover with a towel, and allow the dough to rise for 90 minutes.
You will need to punch out some air before sectioning the dough into two pieces. Roll out each half until it makes a circle that’s 12"x12". Spread butter, then slice the dough into approximately 15 wedges. Start rolling wide end first, then add to a baking sheet that has been greased. The crescents will need to rise again for 60 minutes.
Bake for about 12 minutes at 400F until the center is not doughy. Sweep melted butter on top once the crescents are baked.
