Step 1: In a large soup pot over medium-heat heat, combine your garlic, onion, and ground beef. Cook and stir until the meat is browned and falls apart, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the grease from the pan, add the chili powder and cumin, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Step 2: Add cream cheese to the pot and mix it into the beef until you can no longer see white, about 3 to 5 minutes. Take your salt, broth, heavy cream, and diced tomatoes and mix them in. Cook for about another 10 minutes until the contents are heated through.
