Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cans 16 ounces each kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cans 14-1/2 ounces each diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 3 tbsps chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook the beef and onion together over medium-temperature heat. Cook until the meat has no more pink inside.
  • Drain the juice.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Bring the entire mixture to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot. Let it simmer for three hours. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
