Combine the eggs, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup onion, matzo meal, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
Add the ground beef to the matzo meal combination, mixing thoroughly. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls. Set aside.
Add the tomato sauce, sugar, lemon juice, remaining water, and onion to a Dutch oven.
Add the meatballs to the pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until the meatballs are firm and
no longer pink, about 40-45 minutes.
