Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup coca-cola normal
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 stick butter ½ cup
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Frosting

  • 1 stick butter ½ cup
  • 2 ⅓ tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp cream or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ¾ cup confectioners sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.


  • In a saucepan mix the cola, vegetable oil, butter, and cocoa powder until the butter melts.


  • In a large bowl combine the sugar, flour, and salt.


  • Pour the cola mixture over the flour mixture and beat it well.


  • Then add the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla extract and continue to mix.


  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.


  • To make the frosting: In a saucepan combine the butter, cocoa powder, and milk. Heat it until the butter melts.


  • Remove from heat and beat in the confectioner’s sugar and vanilla extract.


  • Spread on the cake while it is still warm. Let the cake cool completely before serving.
