1 cup coca-cola normal ½ cup vegetable oil 1 stick butter ½ cup 3 tbsp cocoa powder 2 cups sugar 2 cups flour ½ tsp salt 2 eggs ½ cup buttermilk 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract Frosting 1 stick butter ½ cup 2 ⅓ tbsp cocoa powder 6 tbsp cream or milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 ¾ cup confectioners sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.
In a saucepan mix the cola, vegetable oil, butter, and cocoa powder until the butter melts.
In a large bowl combine the sugar, flour, and salt.
Pour the cola mixture over the flour mixture and beat it well.
Then add the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla extract and continue to mix.
Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
To make the frosting: In a saucepan combine the butter, cocoa powder, and milk. Heat it until the butter melts.
Remove from heat and beat in the confectioner’s sugar and vanilla extract.
Spread on the cake while it is still warm. Let the cake cool completely before serving.
