Ingredients
  

BATTER

  • 1 cup softened room temperature butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

GLAZE

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp lemon zest

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  • Combine the softened butter and sugar together and mix until creamy using a handheld or stand mixer.


  • Add the zest, lemon juice, and eggs to the butter/sugar mixture and again mix until creamy.


  • Gently add the flour and salt a little at a time, mixing until combined after each addition.


  • Pour the batter evenly into your 9x13 pan.


  • Bake the brownies for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center and the edges are lightly brown


For the glaze:

  • Combine all ingredients together and mix until creamy.
  • Pour the glaze evenly over the warm brownies. Let them cool down completely before cutting them.
