BATTER
- 1 cup softened room temperature butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- zest of 1 lemon
- 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
GLAZE
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon zest
Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
Combine the softened butter and sugar together and mix until creamy using a handheld or stand mixer.
Add the zest, lemon juice, and eggs to the butter/sugar mixture and again mix until creamy.
Gently add the flour and salt a little at a time, mixing until combined after each addition.
Pour the batter evenly into your 9x13 pan.
Bake the brownies for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center and the edges are lightly brown
