Ingredients

  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c 2% milk
  • 1 c panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 8 ounces cleaned fresh or frozen calamari (squid), thawed and cut into 1/2-inch rings

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to approximately 400 degrees.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a small basin. Whisk the egg and milk together in a small dish. Mix breadcrumbs, seasoned salt, and pepper in a third shallow dish.
  3. Coat the calamari in flour, then in the egg mixture, and last in the bread crumb mixture.
  4. Arrange calamari in a layer on a greased tray in the air-fryer basket in batches; spritz with nonstick spray. 4 minutes in the oven Spritz with nonstick spray and turn. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
