Asian Green Beans

If you are having trouble making tasty veggie recipes, give this Chinese green beans recipe a try. It is truly bursting with flavor and very easy to make! This, and roasted Brussels sprouts, are my favorite veggie dishes. Asian green beans are the perfect side dish for Garlic Brown Sugar Baked Chicken, Garlic Butter Steak Bites, or Cajun Butter Steak

Ingredients You’ll Need:

To make perfectly delicious Chinese Buffet green beans you will need:

  • Sesame seed oil
  • Garlic
  • Red onion
  • Green beans
  • Oyster sauce
  • Reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • Rice vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Sesame seeds

How to Make Asian Green Beans?

To make this easy Asian green bean recipe, follow these simple steps:

  • In a small bowl combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds. Stir until the sugar dissolves and set aside
  • Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat
  • Sautee the garlic slices until they turn light brown
  • Add the sliced red onion and green beans. Cook for 6 minutes or until the green beans start to wilt
  • Pour in the reserved sauce and cook for 3 more minutes or until the green beans reach your desired level of doneness.

Can I Use Frozen Green Beans?

You can but I recommend you thaw them before cooking them. I like my green beans crunchy so I only use fresh green beans to make this recipe.

Leftovers:

To store any leftovers, let them come to room temperature, store them in an airtight container and the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
